Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller to manage, organize, and control all project and company documentation across HVAC, MEP, and related industrial works. The role involves maintaining proper document flow between site, office, clients, and consultants, ensuring all drawings, submittals, approvals, and records are accurately tracked, updated, and stored. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills and experience in handling project documentation in a contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Document Control & Management: Maintain and organize all project documents including drawings, submittals, RFIs, approvals, and correspondence in a structured system
• Drawing & Revision Control: Ensure latest approved drawings are issued to site teams and outdated versions are properly archived
• Submittals & Approvals Tracking: Track material submittals, technical approvals, and client/consultant responses to ensure timely follow-ups
• Project Documentation Support: Assist project teams with preparation, formatting, and submission of technical documents and reports
• Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of project files, logs, registers, and document tracking sheets
• Internal Coordination: Coordinate with engineers, site teams, and management to ensure proper document flow and compliance
• Audit & Compliance Support: Ensure documentation is maintained in line with project requirements, client standards, and company procedures
Experience & Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Document Controller in construction, Oil & Gas industry
• Strong knowledge of document control systems and project documentation processes
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and document management tools
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
• GCC experience in construction or MEP projects preferred
